With its sophisticated African architecture which incorporated the colossal boulders of the hills into a luxuriously appointed thatched lodge, positioned amidst khoisan rock are, one feels as if they are growing out of the hills themselves.
Retire after a busy day exploring your surroundings, at the camps gorgeous natural rock pool and sundeck or sip on a delicious drink at the leopards lair lounge and bar or if a little quiet time is what you after sit back and borrow one of the interesting books from the camps library.
Both the camp itself and the rooms resonate African creative flair; this beautifully basic camp offers guests stunning accommodation and both cultural and wildlife activities.
Big Cave Camp has 5 thatched chalets each with en-suite bathroom and private balcony overlooking the Matopos Hills. The 2 family chalets and the Honeymoon suite can each sleep up to four people and also have an en-suite bathroom and a private balcony with a stunning view of the Matopos. The main area offers a communal dining and lounge area with bar. Relax at the sundeck by the pool while overlooking the magnificent rock formations of this unique area. Dinner can also be served at the cave-style Boma.
