The lodge is truly unique, made up of three old restored mansions overlooking the ocean. It is a place where ancient and modern cultures merge. Situated on the prime Rua Bela Vista Street which amply describes the lodge’s position, it also provides guests with views overlooking the sea and the islands impressive mangroves.
As one of the oldest and definitely most romantic settlements in Mozambique, the Ibo Island Lodge is a honeymooner’s paradise. The décor is simple yet elegant with just a dash of opulence making it the perfect beach and marine destination combined with a truly African cultural experience.

The rooms are all inside the adjoining carefully restored colonial mansions. Each room has an en-suite bathroom and is uniquely styled. Guests have the option between a bay or garden facing room. The garden facing rooms are equipped with large verandas. There are 2 swimming pools at the guests’ disposal. The main area has a dining room with lounge as well as a rooftop terrace and roof deck restaurant and bar. Nedless to say, the sunset views are amazing.
