This trip is an active safari experience. Keep this in mind when packing and bring sports clothing, swimwear, sturdy, worn in, shoes for trekking and comfortable safari wear. Temperatures can plummet at night and be very hot during the day so layers are recommended. We also recommend that you bring long pants for the walks in the bush and the usual sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellent, safari hat and something water proof for your Mokoro trips. Camera and binos are equally safari necessities and will greatly enhance your game viewing pleasure.
In general travellers to Botswana and Zambia are advised to take anti-malarials and insect repellent. For Zambia, you will need a yellow fever vaccination. To be on the safe side you should always consult your medical practitioner in case you have special health issues which suggest further vaccination or additional medication.
