Project Description

Why choose this safari?
• Quad bike across the dunes of the Kalahari
• Sleep out in the Makgadikgadi Pans
• Float down Botswana’s rivers in traditional Makoro canoes
• Get yourself into the bush and track wildlife on foot with professional guides
• Go bungee jumping, white water rafting and canoeing at Victoria Falls
• Have a sundowner on a sunset cruise on the Zambezi

Not for the faint-hearted, but a blood-rush for the adventurous. Take a heart-pumping race over the endless dunes of the Kalahari Desert on a quad bike or track elephants with the fearlessness of the early explorers, on foot, with every one of your senses kicked in or maybe even ride one… Wicked!

Canoeing, bungee jumping, white water rafting – the Adrenaline Rush is an explosive trip that allows you to experience remote Africa in whichever way floats your boat. And when you’ve had your personal thrill fix, there’s plenty of time for a relaxing sun-kissed siesta, a gentle drift in a dug-out down reed-lined channels or a 4×4 game drive through the bush to look at the rest of the wildlife that Botswana has on offer – big cats, buffalo, giraffe, zebra and enough antelope to fill a hundred lenses.

Day to Day Experience
Day 1 − Day 4 | Maun and Planet Baobab, Makgadikgadi Pans, Botswana
Upon arriving in Botswana you will be welcomed by a representative of our partner company. Hop into the waiting vehicle and a pleasant drive will bring you to Planet Baobab and the endless open of the Makgadikgadi Pans. Your safari begins on your way to the camp: as you cross Nxai National Park you might spot your first wildlife.
Planet Baobab is a traditionally styled Kalanga village situated on the road between Maun and Francistown. As the name suggests, this camp is the baobab capital of the world: nestled amongst the ancient trees, with an average age of each tree being 4000 years and beyond. Here you can choose to sleep in traditionally styled Bakalanga or Baobab huts with en-suite showers, dome tents with fully made up stretcher beds or even pitch your tent in the shady campsite – all with the best ablutions in the bush! But best of all: Enjoy an overnight on the Pans and sleep under the most spectacular night skies in the world, after indulging in a barbecue of a lifetime.
Settle in, make yourself at home and work with your guides to decide on all the activities you want to do during your stay. Go on guided day trips or overnight tours, do a walk through a baobab forest and get up close and personal with super-friendly habituated meerkats. Get to know and love the immensity of the boundless lunar landscape of the Makgadikgadi Pans first-hand by sleeping out under the stars. Get dressed up in dark glasses and Lawrence of Arabia headgear and race out on to the pan in quad bikes. Tour the local village and learn about Batswana culture or visit a local cattle post and enjoy a delicious traditional lunch.

Day 4 – Day 7 | Sango Safari Camp, Khwai Community Concession, Botswana
After your final morning activity at Planet Baobab you will be transferred back to Maun Airport. There a representative will take you to your charter flight to Khwai – a scenic trip towards the northern part of Botswana. On your arrival you will be welcomed by your personal guide from Sango Safari Camp. He will take you on a game drive through the concession to the camp, where you will spend the following 3 nights of your safari.
Sango Safari Camp is nestled in the shade of the trees overlooking the Khwai River. Accommodating 12 guests in 6 en-suite meru tents Sango Safari Camp is designed in the style of the classic tented safari camp of days gone by. With its open-air bucket showers, hand crafted furnishings and classic styling Sango Safari Camp aims to rekindle the atmosphere of the luxury mobile safari camp, successfully blending the rustic with the luxurious.
As the Khwai River forms a natural border between the Moremi Game Reserve and the Khwai Concession, animals travel freely between the reserves. With access to both these magnificent wildlife areas, Sango Safari Camp is focused on delivering an exceptional wildlife experience. Its exclusive location allows you to take advantage of a host of wildlife activities not found in the National Parks or Reserves. Experience the sounds of Africa after dark on a night drive or learn about the wildlife and their habitat on a walk through the bush during the day. Also explore the traditional village of Khwai and learn about the community running this concession.

Day 7 − Day 9 | Footsteps Across Delta, Okavango Delta, Botswana
A short flight from Khwai takes you to Footsteps Across the Delta for the next three nights of your safari. The camp is located on the edge of a beautiful lagoon where the ever-resent and highly vocal hippos wallow. Each tent is shaded by magnificent evergreen trees including African ebony and Mangosteen. Both lions and wild dogs are often seen in the area and the variety of plains game includes kudu, Tsessebe, zebra, and impala.
Footsteps Across the Delta is a truly unique way to experience the African wilderness. No special skills or training are required. Walk with your guide as far as you want, stopping and starting as you see something that catches your eye, be it bird, tree, flower or animal. Spot the semi-quatic antelope known as the lechwe and the playful and humorous warthog that runs with its tail in the air like a radio antennae.
Return to your specially designed twin bedded, insect proof tents with double fly sheets. Refresh yourself with a bucket shower. And enjoy a scrumptious meal that you will find hard to believe was cooked in a simple bush kitchen.

Day 9 − Day 12 | Saile Tented Camp, Linyanti, Botswana
Wing your way across the wilderness from Footsteps Across the Delta to the Saile Tented Camp.
The camp is located in a private reserve that borders the western boundary of Chobe in the Chobe Enclave. It is situated on the sands above the ancient river bed of the Linyanti, providing the perfect setting for an authentic and wild safari experience. Explore Africa in the Hemmingway style on foot and eye to eye with the wild.
Next to walking you will do game drives and spot lighting. Remote and pristine, the Linyanti swamps offer the best of African wildlife – elephant, buffalo, lion, sable, roan, leopard, wild dog and a number of the plains game. Don’t miss the opportunity to add many of Botswana’s birds to your life list in this birdwatcher’s paradise. The area’s relative remoteness makes it a favoured wild safari destination and one of the most sought after areas in Northern Botswana.

Day 12 − Day 14 | Cresta Sprayview Hotel, Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
Catch your charter flight to Kasane and meet your driver who will transfer you by road to the Kazungula border. Clear customs and immigration and cross into Zimbabwe for the final two nights of your safari at Cresta Sprayview Hotel.
The hotel is ideally situated, in walking distance of the town of Victoria Falls, with its accompanying restaurants and curio markets a short 10 minute walk to the falls themselves. Alfresco dining and the large swimming pool make accommodation a relaxing retreat for families, international travellers and honeymooners. Set on eight acres of manicured grounds, Cresta Sprayview offers a tranquil oasis from which to enjoy all Victoria Falls has to offer, such as the wide range of activities: white water rafting, elephant back safaris, romantic sunset cruises, bungee jumping and much more.

Day 14 | Transfer to Victoria Falls Airport, Zimbabwe
After a delicious breakfast at Cresta Sprayview Hotel, you will be picked up and driven to Victoria Falls Airport in time for your onward travel arrangements.
