Project Description

Located in one of the most remote parts of the Mana Pools National Park, the Kanga Camp lies on the isolated Kanga Pan, near the Ruckomechi River and away from the hustle and bustle of the Zambezi River. It provides guests with luxury and comfort directly in an area of untouched wilderness.

The area surrounding Kanga Camp is perfectly underdeveloped making it ideal for exploring on foot. This great seclusion is coupled with luxury and a rawness of camping under canvas, in the heart of the wilderness area. The camps unique location offers guests a different vantage point and experience from most of its neighbouring riverside camps in the area – a welcome alternative.

The best place to view the wildlife on display is from your chair from your private deck. Due to the waterhole situated directly in front of the camp, the game comes to you.

Kang Camp provides its guests with a unique opportunity to sleep outside: “Kanga under the Stars”. Sleep out on a raised platform under a large fig tree, where the beds are placed under huge mosquito nets. Also indulge in a delicious three-course meal under the glorious African sky.

Kanga has 4 large walk-in Meru style safari tents with en-suite bathrooms, and two honeymoon suites, which are equipped with an en-suite bathroom and an outdoor bath. The main area has a central dining area, a lounge and a bar as well as a small plunge pool.
