Project Description

Savuti Camp is situated in a remote part of the Linyanti Concession along the Savute Channel, famous for the fact that between 1980 and 2008 it stopped flowing altogether, creating an unusual ribbon of grassland. Surprisingly, the channel began to flow once more, becoming a deep, clear waterway harbouring hippo and aquatic life while wildlife had to adapt to a new source of water and all the opportunities and menaces it brought with it.

The newly refurbished Savuti Camp is an extremely appealing option for tourists who wish to visit this area. With two –thirds of the Savute Channel located in the concession, guests at the camp have private and exclusive access to the abundant game and the natural and geological changes that are occurring on a daily and seasonal basis right on their doorstep. The camp has front row seats to watch all the drama that is played out on the water.
Not only is the location magnificent but the Savuti Camp also compliments its surroundings by providing its guests with great food, friendly staff, comfortable rooms and communal areas that can be enjoyed by all. With its plentiful and varied wildlife on offer as well as the quant and intimate comforts of the camp, it is the perfect place to get away and relax.

The intimate camp’s en-suite accommodation is in 7 large walk-in tents that are raised off the ground and face onto the channel allowing guests to take in the spectacular views from their own private deck. The main lodge is a large, open sided structure, crowned by a beautiful high thatched ceiling, whereas the dining room was built to ensure that each guest has a view of the channel whilst they eat. There is also a plunge pool to relax.
