Project Description

This simple, rustic camp is set in the Matusadona National Park on Rhino Island in the shores of Lake Kariba. The area is isolated and is a designated intensive protection zone making for a very authentic safari experience.

The comfortable and welcoming living area and alternative dining areas provide guests with magnificent views of the lake and its inhabitants as they wonder along its shoreline. Take a cruise down along the lake, or hop into an open safari vehicle to really gain everything this unique area has to offer.

Rhino Safari Camp is quaint and highly specialized on offering its guests fresh home cooked meals, up close and personal gaming experiences. In the evenings relax under the stars when lazing by the fire pit to get the real bush feel. This camp is the perfect balance between the mobile safari camps and the luxurious permanent camps the region is well known for.

There are 7 rustic A-Frame open air chalets set on raised platforms. The main area has a dining area, a bar and a lounge with a small reference library.
