Day to Day Experience
Day 1 − Day 4 | Mombo Camp, Moremi Game Reserve, Botswana
Upon arriving in Botswana you will be met by a charter representative who will escort you to your 20 minute scenic flight towards the eastern part of Botswana and the Moremi Game Reserve. Once off the plane you will be welcomed with a big smile from your guide who will transfer you by road to Mombo Camp for the first three nights of your safari.
Get into the holiday mood with a glass of a refreshing welcome-drink, whilst your guide plans your adventures for the following days. As an introduction to African safaris, the spacious camp deck offers an expansive view across the reserve and the first sightings of game whilst birds sing your welcome overhead. Your safari highlights start here. There are many options available for exploring this special area: Game drives in an open 4×4 to try and spot the Big Five, perhaps combined with a morning walk in the bush. Siesta time under the shade of the trees with toes in the splash pool brings those first moments of relaxation. Close your eyes and let the surrounding peace and tranquillity wash over your soul. These will the first, but not the last moments of bliss and contentment on this safari.

Day 4 – Day 7 | Zarafa Camp, Selinda Reserve, Botswana
After a final morning activity your guide will drive you to the airstrip in time for your charter flight to the Selinda Airstrip. After a short scenic flight, you will arrive in the Selinda Reserve, where your guide from the Zarafa Camp will be waiting. He is taking you on a short game drive towards the Zarafa Camp, your base for your next three nights.
Set in an immense private reserve and overlooking the Zibadinaja Lagoon, Zarafa is known for its intimate wildlife experiences and dramatic landscapes offering just four couples the ultimate in ‘private Africa’. The camp operates with ‘green’ credentials without sacrificing one ounce of luxury. Each tent has a professional camera and lenses for your complementary use.
Consummate professionalism combined with a unique location makes this a very special destination. The camp will welcome you with a perfect mix of relaxation and activity. Game drives and bush walks will introduce you to the landscape of the lagoons of the Savuti Channel. The remote location is untouched, civilisation a distant memory and your stay will be much as the early explorers would have experienced.

Day 7 − Day 9 | Sindabezi, Livingstone, Zambia
A short flight from the Selinda Reserve takes you to Kasane and your road transfer to the border, crossing into Zambia by boat. On arrival into the country, a representative from the Sindabezi Lodge will pick you up and transfer you to your private chalet on Sindabezi Island.
Sindabezi Lodge is a private island paradise, upstream of the Victoria Falls, surrounded by the waters of the Zambezi. There are no other island lodges on this stretch of the Zambezi so close to Victoria Falls. Only five chalets are on the island, providing exclusivity and privacy during your stay. From the open-fronted chalets watch as the Zambezi flows past on its journey to the dramatic falls ahead. The river attracts many species to its banks and you will be uniquely placed to observe them as they hide amongst the reeds, browse from the riverine fringe of palms and forest or cavort in their water home. Fall asleep to the glow of a hurricane lamp and be woken up by an African sunrise over the floodplains of the river.
From the island, you can visit the Victoria Falls and enjoy all the activities on offer or simply spend time on this majestic river fishing and canoeing. In addition to Zambezi water experiences, you will enjoy sublimely relaxing days and a rarely encountered, mind-freeing tranquillity.

Day 9 − Day 12 | Kafunta River Lodge, South Luangwa, Zambia
A 20 minutes boat transfer from the island will bring you back to the main land and a road transfer ends at the Livingstone Airport where your charter plane is awaiting. You will be flown to South Luangwa, where your guide from Kafunta River Lodge welcomes you and escorts you to the lodge.
Standing beside the magical Luangwa River, the Kafunta River Lodge is a classic Zambian safari lodge that offers its guests personalised and friendly service. Settle in and decide on the activities for the next days with your guide, which will be structured around your wishes.
The spacious wooden deck situated off the central area, is built above the waterhole. This provides guests with undisturbed views over the plain. Enjoy a drink while absorbing the stunning vistas that surround you and relax at the swimming pool, the natural hot tub and the wellness spa. Or enjoy your own little African paradise from the private viewing area of your suite and relax in your luxury en-suite bathroom. And when darkness falls enjoy a delectable candle lit meal under the vast African sky whilst watching as animals of all types come to the floodlit waterhole in search of their next meal. This experience is one that cannot be recreated or even put into words, it’s that unbelievable.

Day 12 | Transfer to Lusaka Airport, Zambia
After breakfast at Kafunta River Lodge, you will be chartered to Lusaka Airport in time for your onward travel arrangements.
